What does CO₂e mean?

Carbon dioxide equivalent converts other greenhouse gases to a CO₂ impact score so totals are comparable.

How can I reduce travel emissions?

Fewer flights, longer stays, trains instead of short haul, efficient driving, car sharing and EVs charged on cleaner grids all help. Offset programmes vary in quality.

Flight radiative forcing from contrails can add impact beyond CO₂ alone; regulators and academics continue to refine multipliers. Treat output as educational.

Heating, electricity, diet (especially ruminant meat), goods purchases and waste dominate many footprints once transport is addressed. National averages hide individual variation. Use this calculator as a conversation starter and pair it with supplier-specific data if you are serious about reduction targets.
