Free calculators for Danish employment benefits. Based on Ferieloven and official regulations.
Denmark's employment benefits are among the most generous in Scandinavia, regulated by Ferieloven (the Danish Holiday Act), Funktionaerloven (the Salaried Employees Act), and the broader flexicurity model. Danish workers are entitled to feriepenge (holiday pay), generous notice periods, and a strong social safety net that includes dagpenge (unemployment benefits) through a-kasse membership.
Our Denmark calculators use the official formulas from Styrelsen for Arbejdsmarked og Rekruttering (STAR) and Skattestyrelsen. All tools reflect the 2026 rates. Whether you are calculating your feriepenge entitlement, estimating holiday allowance, or checking your notice period, these free tools provide a fast and dependable answer.
Denmark follows a flexicurity model that balances labour market flexibility with a strong social safety net. The standard holiday entitlement is five weeks per year, and feriepenge accrues at 12.5% of gross salary during the qualifying period from 1 September to 31 August. The system switched to concurrent holiday (samtidige ferie) in September 2020, meaning employees earn and take holiday in the same period.
