Free calculators for Australian employment law and benefits. Based on the Fair Work Act.
Australia's workplace rights are governed by the Fair Work Act 2009, the National Employment Standards (NES), and the relevant Modern Awards. Employees are entitled to redundancy pay based on years of continuous service, annual leave loading, long service leave, and parental leave pay funded by the Australian Government.
Our Australian calculators use the official formulas from Fair Work Australia and the ATO. Each tool is updated for the 2025/2026 financial year. Whether you are checking your redundancy entitlement under the NES, estimating your HECS-HELP repayment threshold, or calculating superannuation contributions, these free tools provide a clear and reliable estimate.
Under the NES, redundancy pay ranges from 4 weeks for 1 year of service up to 16 weeks for employees with 9 or 10 years. Small businesses with fewer than 15 employees are exempt from statutory redundancy. HECS-HELP repayments start once your taxable income exceeds the minimum threshold, which is adjusted each financial year. The ATO collects the repayment through the PAYG withholding system during the year.
