Free calculators for Norwegian employment benefits. Based on Ferieloven and official regulations.
Norway provides generous employee benefits that are defined in laws such as Ferieloven (the Holiday Act), Arbeidsmiljoloven (the Working Environment Act), and Folketrygdloven (the National Insurance Act). Norwegian workers are entitled to feriepenger (holiday pay), dagpenger (unemployment benefits), sickness pay and parental leave that ranks among the most comprehensive in the world.
Our Norway calculators apply the official formulas used by NAV and Skatteetaten. Each tool reflects the rates and thresholds for 2026. Whether you are calculating your feriepenger payout, checking how much dagpenger you may receive, or estimating parental benefit, these tools provide a quick and reliable answer.
In Norway, feriepenger is calculated as 10.2% of gross earnings from the previous year (12% for workers over 60). The employer withholds this amount and pays it out in June. Dagpenger eligibility requires prior income of at least 1.5 times the grunnbelop (G), which is adjusted annually by the government. These benefits form a core part of the Norwegian welfare model.
